Norjana's Vision

When I attended a seminar about investment in properties five years ago, I spoke to a friend who seems to be interested in my stories. It began like this. In the year 2003 or 2004, I do'nt remember exactly when as I travelled abroad with friends to the Middle East countries, particularly Mecca and Medina, one of my friends relate about her Arab boyfriend who made several promises on the phone and intented to propose hand in marriage. I was absolutely astounding and felt very happy for her. She had plans and perspectives of doing business in Medina.But we mentioned Dubai instead because according to her boyfriend, over the years, the city would make great changes and developed further.

So, back to the seminar, as we listened to the talk, I carelessly mentioned that Singaporeans should explore the Arab countries since most of the Middle East countries are known throughout the world. To my surprise, my friend had reported my emphasis of the city Dubai and its commercial growth and development to his seniors in his corporate world. Then, he sent SMS to me telling me that I had inspired others whom I do'nt know...A couple of days later, as I browsed the newspaper, it's quite a shock to see the one page advertisement showing a very big ship carrying the Singapore high rise buildings moving towards Dubai.What a great discovery. Believe it or not.....is it really my idea? I hope so... and I am very proud of Singapore. Well done!
